How do you know if your dog is healthy? Here's som How do you know if your dog is healthy? Here's some simple daily health checks you can do with your pup at home.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐍𝐨𝐬𝐞 - A dog's nose can normally be moist or dry and cool or warm. Learn what is normal for your dog. Keep an eye out for excessive discharge, sneezing and that breathing is easy and unobstructed.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐌𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐡 - A dog's breath should be wholesome without any bad smells. Check for any cracked or broken teeth. Teeth should also be clean and free of plaque and tarter. Ensure the gums are a healthy pink colour and not receeding or bleeding.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐄𝐲𝐞𝐬 - Eyes should be clear with no excessive discharge or irritation. Pupils should be the same size.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐬 - Check ears for wax-build up, swelling and bad odours.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐂𝐨𝐚𝐭 - Brush daily to remove dirt. The coat should be clean and free of prickles.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐧 - Run your fingers through the coat for any lumps, bumps, cuts or grazes. Keep an eye out for fleas and ticks.⁣
⁣
🐾 𝐅𝐞𝐞𝐭 - Check pads for cuts and cracks and ensure that nails are kept short. Take your dog for a short walk and check they are moving well without limping.⁣
